Welcome

"have been the Engineering Manager since July 2005. Since then the data base system as developed by Quintana Systems Ltd has been used as a CMMS (Computer maintenance management system) to assist in the management of the maintenance at the plant."
"The system allows the following functionality:
- Listing of all assets by way of the ATI number
- All staff that have access to an on line computer can raise a work request on any one of the assets listed.
- A Job Sheet is raised from this request that is used as the communication tool to the maintenance supervision and thus the tradesman that will be assigned the job.
- On completion of the job the job sheet is returned to a CMMS administrator to complete the documentation within the CMMS thus building a history of jobs completed on the plant assets.
- Routine jobs that are considered necessary on assets can be entered as Programme Maintenance jobs thus ensuring jobs are not "forgotten"
- The originator of each job must accept the job as satisfactorily completed through the system before the job is considered complete and the record stored as asset history.
- Reports of many types can be generated, such as outstanding jobs, jobs completed on a particular asset and jobs raised by individuals etc.
The system has allowed an improvement in communication at all levels within the organisation, operator to tradesman, tradesman to job originator, trades supervision to tradesman, senior management to trades supervision etc.
Over the two years that the systems has been operating there has been an improvement in plant efficiencies and production records are regularly broken.
The system has served us well and has helped make the management of the maintenance function of the plant a satisfying role."
